From the Heart Food Drive

Here's your chance to help stock our local food pantries -- FISH and Salvation Army. We are in need of non-perishable food items, personal care items, cleaning supplies and paper products. The drive runs from Sunday, February 14 through Sunday, February 21.

Drop off your items at the following locations during regular business hours:
Tiffin-Seneca United Way 201 S. Washington Street
Heritage IGA (Tiffin) 479 E. Market Street
and Your Local Churches

96% and counting...

United Way Campaign Warms Up
The Cold January Weather!
As of Janury 21 we have raised $438,126.87
or 96% of our goal for 2009-2010.

We are still zooming past last year's progress which was at 83%.

"The real thermometers are headed down with our January cold snap but the Tiffin-Seneca United Way thermometer gauging this year's campaign is shooting for the top. We are so near and I am so excited of the possibility of exceeding this year's goal by the March 31 ending date," said

78% of Campaign Goal Reached at end of 2009

United Way Campaign
Progressing Well!
As of December 30, 2009 we have raised $355,406.12 or 78% of our goal for 2009-2010.

We are still surpassing last year's progress.

Fundraising efforts will continue in the new year.

The 50/50 drawing held in mid-December benefiting United Way and the Tiffin Area Chamber of Commerce yielded $437 with United Way receiving $218.50.

2009-2010 Campaign Already At 6% of Goal

Tiffin-Seneca United Way's 2009-2010 campaign is at 6% of its $455,000 goal as of Friday, October 9 according to Campaign Chair Judy Clem and Executive Director Pat DeMonte.

Several campaign activities have already occured -- Seneca Star Search and the 5K Run.

Currently running is the Online Auction whcih has dozens of bidders and is raising more money for the campaign. Visit the home page -- www.tsunitedway.org and click on the Auction Site link to find out more.

Online Auction is Off to a Good Start

The Tiffin-Seneca United Way Online Auction is off to a good start. It runs from now until November 7. We already have bids on several items donated by local people and merchants.

There's a something for everyone. Some of the items are one-of-a-kind-type things such as throwing out the first ball at a Toledo Mud Hens game. There are even some Buy-It-Now items if you are in a hurry. One item has an early closing date so that you can negotiate the redemption of your certificate for game tickets --

4th Annual Seneca Star Search - The Results

And the winner is...

The 4th Annual Seneca Star Search kicked-off the Tiffin-Seneca United Way 2009-2010 campaign at 7:30 PM September 26 at the Ritz Theatre. Over 200 were in attendance.

Keith Hodkinson was the master of ceremonies. The judges for the evening were Miriam Funkhouser, Ruth Lape, Jackie Therriault and Chris Tucci.

Executive Director Pat DeMonte and 2009-2010 campaign chair Judy Clem spoke of United Way's service to the community and assisted with ceremonies.
